From the folks who brought you the Fringe Mob, Studio Gimmick and more than 8 years at Butchart, GGG is back with the fourth installment of the Chorus/Line Cabaret series – exploring the vast and varied work of musical theatre. The Chorus/Line/Cabaret is a night celebrating Musical Theatre with the folks who love it, hosted by the legendary Janis Dunning. The Menu Act 1 - Chorus/Line/Jule Styne– Selected music and scenes from musicals by composer Jule Styne by Gimmick’s Chorus/Line Company. With a songbook of more than 1500 songs, including a plethora of hits by great singers such as Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand and Ethel Merman, Jule Styne comes from the golden age of Broadway composers, and his musicals are iconic: Gypsy, Peter Pan, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and Funny Girl to name a few. There is plenty to choose from and we’re not doing them all, but sit back and let us entertain you. Hosted by the legendary Janis Dunning.

Act 2 – The Cabaret - A smattering of songs - there is only one rule: All Musical Theatre, Only Musical Theatre. Singers jump up and belt out tunes, anything can happen. The bar is open and the lights are dimmed. Bring your sheet music and get up and sing – accompaniment provided. If you’re shy join in a chorus or two in the sing-alongs. Play games, win prizes, and witness the phenomenon that is Diva-Tag. No Holds Barred – Any Musical Theatre song is fair game. Drinks are cheap. Bring your ID.
